The 18 hole golf course was built in 1975, it has large greens.

Initially, it suffered during the 1976 extreme heatwave, but the course recovered after 1976.

The course favours golfers who can draw a ball or left-handed slicers of the ball. The reason for this is because most of the trouble is on the right, and this applies to most of the holes at the panshanger golf course.
